I don't know Crabtrap. My local MSM has reported a doubling of food prices for corn, etc, in central and south america and as you know "green"
fuel is a darling of the liberal left. On the other hand reducing the world population is also one of it's goals as well.

The idea of using corn to produce biofuels is downright stupid.
There are many other types of grasses, grains and stocks which are every bit, if not more efficient. Corn is best used for feeding both man and beast. The Brazilians have been successful with sugarcane because no one eats it. They can grow it easily and it works great for making ethanol. In this country, we should be looking at switchgrass and other bio-celulose crops instead of using corn. The idea of using corn has everything to do with substities to midwest farmers. Once again, politics getting in the way and making things worst. 419!

Shhhh!
If the software can detect, compensate, avoid, or correct an anomalous condition in the system, it is, by definition, a software problem-regardless of the root cause. In the long run, for most classes of problems, it is much cheaper to fix it in the software than in the hardware. ---EDN Technical Editor Robert Cravotta |

As I understand it the ethanol push set off a speculation rush similar to that happening with oil prices. The demand for ethanol production produced a rise,
but there's a significant bubble in the commodities markets, that'll probably pop about the same time as the oil bubble.

That is the point exactly Alma. What could or should be done seems to be discouraged by the feds and certain corporations.

Several things strike me in this article. First and formost is the fact I havne't noticed the price of food going up 75% recently. Yeah I am sure they are probably up 75% of the prices in the great depresion or something... Point is I haven't noticed a 75% incress in food prices. So right there I am calling BS and the whole rest of the article into question. Now no doubt
the price of food has gone up in the last year year and a half just like every thing else. Which leads me to believe several things are going on here,
