looking for a new rifle |

Allright, it's time for me to get a new rifle. Up until now, I only have muzzleloaders and one old mosin nagant. I live in California so AR's and
AK's are out. I'm looking for a semi auto in a NATO caliber. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should look into getting?
Thanks southernagent |

Hmm. I'm definately going to research these AR's. Thanks for the info. Does anyone know of any other rifles to look into as well?

I go with either an SKS or an M1A.

If you can won an M1A in CA still that would be what I would go with. I would also consider an M1 Garand if that was legal and the M1A wasn't. Sorry
I'm not more up to date on the gun laws in CA. It has been a while since I lived there.

A family I met at Front Sight (who were from CA) said the M1 Garand is legal in CA, but no on the M1A. They were all shooting M1 Garands.

Check out a California legal FAL on the DS Arms website.

I would go for the M1A, and Springfield Armory does make CA legal ones (just a 10-rd mag and changed out the flash suppressor for a compensator). I have handled the Kel-tec's also and they do look pretty nice (I like the weight of them, and that they can take AR mags--course those mags aren't legal in CA) |

A Sprinfield Socom II is legal in PROK as is the White Feather. Actually all of the M1A1s are legal in PROK so long as you use the ten round mag and don't
put a pistol grip on it. If you're in SoCal go to a place called Metroshot. Or you can contact LAN World and they can hook you up with something. Look to the left of the web page and click on the links for the
rifles you are looking for. Just about everything they have is or can be PROK compliant.
